I contemplated sending our dog hank for the longest (like 6 months) because it was rather expensive. I decided to send hank with basic obedience already under his belt. Hank would pull like a sled dog on just about any collar/harness and just wasn’t trustworthy off leash. Cue Will and his team. Hank attended their off leash obedience program and when we came to pick hank back up, he was a totally different dog! When they say they give your dog a 100% reliable recall they mean it! We are able to do so much more with hank now because we are not constricted by where we can take him. Sending my dog to Ridgeside K9 was the best decision I made all year! Before the board and train, Walter was a bundle of energy who had no ability to self-calm. Every time we’d leave him, he would work himself up into a panic and bark non-stop. Since his board and train he’s a changed man! Not only is he obedient, but he is noticeably calmer and more relaxed both alone and with us. I can’t speak highly enough about the quality of training we experienced! As a new comer to the area I first adopted my dog without having the slightest clue as to how to train her. I went to several other dog trainers in an attempt to learn how to safely and effectively get her to be calm around other animals and people out in public. But unfortunately their methods were not cutting it. Will, Taylor, and the Carolinas Ridgeside K9 team has superseded all my expectations when I first entered my dog in for the off leash B&T. Chris Martinese is a Navy veteran with years of experience professionally training dogs. He has grown up around dogs but never thought he would ever make a career out of it. During his medical retirement, he was given the opportunity to intern with a local dog trainer and soon learned this was something he would make a career out of. From the year-long internship, he furthered his education by attending various schools and seminars to learn as many training techniques and philosophies as possible. Chris and his wife Jenna now work together full time and believe all dogs can learn to become confident and obedient members of the family; they live to bridge the gap between owner and dog.
